God’s Faithfulness.

one of the ways God’s been faithful through community

Lord,

Lately I’ve been sitting with the idea that You have good plans for me.

This past month was really hard, and I found myself questioning whether those plans were truly good. Yet it’s almost funny—whenever I begin to doubt You, I’m quickly met with Your faithfulness. I’ve seen it woven throughout my life, even in the brokenness and sadness of losing my dad. In those moments, I can still look to You with confidence and say: You are good.

But just because You are good doesn’t mean life will always be easy. Life is hard. And yet, You remain consistent and near. That is who You are. You’ve never left us, despite all the reasons You could have. And that alone makes You good because You love regardless of who we are or how far we’ve run.

You sent Your one and only Son to die for me, for my sins. That is why You are good. And that is why I call You faithful.

You have good plans.

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you.” - Jeremiah 29:11-12
